ZAKARIA ISLAMIC ACADEMY (ZIA) WEEKLY MASHWARA/MEETING
MARCH 31, 2026

Attendees: Mufti Saad, Maulana Ibraheem Khan, Syed Rashid Noor, Amir Akhtar, Mohammed Saleem, Zubair Shaikh, Nasir Vohra, Farrokh Rashid, Adil Sayeed

1. Construction Update:
   Mohammed Irfan is working with Mukhtar to address Loudoun County comments. A meeting is scheduled for this week.
2. Youth:
   Seerah class is to start on Tuesdays Insha Allah. Monday and Friday classes continue as before. Planning for working with High school MSAs.
3. Private Event Permission:
   Private event permission was discussed and no decision was made.
4. Political Affairs Outreach:
   Imam Saad and Nasir Vohra are in this Committee. More volunteer members will be added as needed.
5. Maintenance:
   Request for quotes for landscaping, snow removal, pest control from different companies was sent. Carpet was deep cleaned last week. Repairs were made to walls. Painting is being planned.
6. Eidul Adha 1447:
   There is no holiday for Loudoun County schools for Eidul Adha day. So we may have to have Eid Salaah at Zakaria masjid.
7. Eid Party:
   No Eidul Fitr party for this year. It was decided to have good Eidul Adha party with better coordination with volunteers and preparation.
8. Adopt-A-Road:
   Scheduled for April 11, 2026 after Zuhr. 30 Volunteers are needed.
9. Next town hall meeting:
   In next meeting we must decide on the date for next town hall meeting. Tentative month of June.
