ZAKARIA ISLAMIC ACADEMY (ZIA) WEEKLY MASHWARA/MEETING NOVEMBER 18, 2025 Attendees: Mufti Saad, Maulana Ibraheem Khan, Adil Sayeed, Nasir Vohra, Mohammed Saleem, Zubair Shaikh, Syed Rashid Noor, Shoukat Nawaz
1. Construction Update: Wetland survey has expired after 5 years and needs to be updated with new date. Brother Mukhtar and brother Rezaul are coordinating with consultant. Arborist is going to certify the trees certificate after getting license updated. Brother Hariwan, who has volunteered, will be asked for ideas for interior design of inside the masjid.
2. Hifz: Had a meeting with parents and it is going well. Two days off for Thanksgiving.
3. Weekday/Weekend maktab: Looking one more male teacher for weekday Maktab. Maulana Hasnain is volunteering for weekend maktab.
4. Kids playground: Grant has been approved from home depot and work will start soon. Email received as gift card. Rest of the extra funds will be used for moon bounce.
5. Youth: Adding Seerah class on Tuesdays from January.
6. Maintenance Electrical: Need to fix the electrical panel and siding for the wall.
7. Ramadan Taraweeh: Looking for place to rent or other alternatives. Schools, churches, and other commercial places and putting a tent is being explored.
