ZAKARIA ISLAMIC ACADEMY (ZIA) WEEKLY MASHWARA/MEETING

Attendees: Mufti Saad, Maulana Ibraheem Khan, Syed Rashid Noor, Amir Akhtar, Mohammed Saleem, Zubair Shaikh, Shoukat Nawaz, Kashef, Suhaib, Nasir Vohra, Farrokh Rashid, Adil Sayeed
- Construction Update:
Mukhtar is working on site plan to address County comments related to wetlands mitigation. He had to make lot changes for this purpose. Brother Mohammed Irfan will be volunteer Project Manager for Site Plan and other construction related work. He was introduced to the community in town hall meeting. - Ramadan:
Huffaz Eedhi was collected and distributed for Ramadan 1447. - ZIA Annual Fundraising:
Some funds were collected on Khatmul Quran day for ZIA annual recurring expenditure and community dua was made. - Quarterly town hall Meeting Held:
Community and ZIA board members had a good meeting. Views were exchanged for improvements. Minutes posted on the group. Next town hall community date will be decided in next meeting. - Maintenance:
It was decided to take quotes for landscaping, snow removal, pest control from different companies. Take help from contacts from Liaqat, Irfan, Adil, Saleem and Mufti Saad. Frequency of trash pickup will go back to once per week in April. - Eid Prayer:
Three Eid prayers were performed at Zakaria masjid. Need better coordination of volunteers for next Eid and make better preparations for sisters as well. - Private Event :
Private Event item was discussed, and no decision was made about it. It was pointed out that we have ZIA programs for almost all days of the week. - Eidul Adha 1447:
There is no holiday for Loudoun County schools for Eidul Adha day. So we may have to have Eid Salaah at Zakaria masjid. - Eid Party:
Eidul Fitr party is still being discussed for this year. It was decided to have good Eidul Adha party with better coordination with volunteers and preparation.
