ZAKARIA ISLAMIC ACADEMY (ZIA) WEEKLY MASHWARA/MEETING
MARCH 10, 2026
Attendees: Syed Rashid Noor, Amir Akhtar, Mohammed Saleem, Zubair Shaikh, Shoukat Nawaz

1. Construction Update:
   Mukhtar is working on site plan to address critical as well as other comments of the county. Brother Irfan is also helping with Arborist comments and other aspects.
2. Ramadan Expenses:
   Mufti Saad will lead the effort to collect the funds for Ramadan expenses (Arcola elementary school rental, Huffaz Eedhi, supplies and others).
3. Annual Fundraising and Khatm-ul-Quran:
   We will have combined khatm-ul-Quran dua for Zakaria masjid and Arcola Tarawih on March 18th – equivalent to Ramadan 29th night at Arcola. We will have fundraising before tarawih and final dua after Taraweeh. Zakaria activities will be presented and funds for annual recurring expenses will be raised. Goal is to raise all needed expenses in one time donations as well as monthly recurring pledges.
4. Quarterly town hall Meeting:
   Flyer sent out for next town hall is scheduled for March 22, Sunday after maghrib. Construction updates and operation updates will be given, and suggestions will be taken from community to improve the Academy.
5. Maintenance:
   Working on Snow removal annual contract from different companies. Frequency of trash pickup was increased to two per week for Ramadan duration only.
6. Youth:
   Program will be on the Friday night after Taraweeh during Ramadan. Some youth went on Umrah this Ramadan.
7. Ramadan Qiyam:
   It will happen in last ten days and Takmeel-e-Quran will be done Insha Allah starting the night of March 10, 2026.

Eid Prayer: Three Eid prayers at Zakaria masjid at 800 AM, 930 AM and 1100 AM. If Eid on Jumuah, then regular Jumuahs at 100 PM
