ZAKARIA ISLAMIC ACADEMY (ZIA) WEEKLY MASHWARA/MEETING
JANUARY 20, 2026

Attendees: Mufti Saad, Maulana Ibraheem Khan, Adil Sayeed, Farrokh Rashid, Mohammed Saleem, Zubair Shaikh, Shoukat Nawaz, Emdaduz Chowdhury

1. Construction Update:
   Environmental company is hired to avoid wetland mitigation. Wetland is being updated in the site plan. Site engineer is working on the comments from Loudoun County.
2. Ramadan:
   It was decided to have two tarawih prayers, one at Arcola School Cafeteria and other at masjid due to lack of space. There will be no community iftars because the rental place is not available.
3. Community Townhall Meeting:
   Next townhall is scheduled for March 14, Saturday evening.
4. Maintenance :
   Cleaning of carpet before Ramadan on Saturday, Feb 14. Working on heat arrangement on the deck.
5. Youth:
   Program will be on the Friday night during Ramadan. High school students will have basketball tournament on a weekend. Looking at catering option for bigger Youth halaqas.
